Project and Country Manager

Our client, very important company in Central Africa (Brazzaville) that requires to incorporate to their staff a:

Profile:

o Minimum 10 years experience with a proven successful track record of.
o Manage a multi-disciplinary EPCM team.
o Delivery of Projects to agreed costs, time and outcomes.
o Selection and management of internal and external resources.
o Management of a staged approval process and a staged project implementation process.
o Project Management/Engineering and managing an EPCM contract.
o Knowledge of mining and metallurgical processes will be well regarded.
o Sound understanding of statutory requirements relating to government, environment, community and corporate.
o It is important that the candidate has a sound working knowledge of the French language.
o Understand the complexity of working in Africa.
o There are no requirements for the successful candidate to relocate to either site or to Brazzaville; however frequent travel will be necessary to fulfill the requirements of the role.

Key Responsabilities:

o The role will manage mining activity that is underway at site (ore body contains 20% high grade copper close to the surface) in addition to staff and contracts that are currently being let.
o Building and managing the scopes of work required for the pre-feasibility study.
o Upon completion of pre-feasibility, manage the project for the execution, construction, start-up and commissioning stages.
o This position will also assume the duties of "Country Manager" in relation to all dealings with national and local government agencies for permitting, environmental regulatory issues and community relations.
